Few pics from '11 soybean harvest. Had a test plot with 14 varieties, harvested on Oct 8th. Beans were very dry, 7.5%, best was 52.8bu/ac, and the worst was 42.6.
Picked my corn test plot last Saturday but didn't get any photos. Still waiting for the results but did figure the best was 206bu.
Over all good results for the year.

Very nice pictures you have there. How are the yields
measured? Looks like the Deere is in good shape. Thanks for
sharing.

Thanks for the comments guys.
I cant take credit for the mirrors they were on it when I bought the machine.

(quoted from post at 17:52:53 10/24/11) Reed, what do you do for header control? Or do you just do it manually?
Also, what'd you do for a reel pump?

I run the header manually. The reel pump is off a White combine and is mounted on the head and is driven off the sickle drive.
I should snap some pics of it.

(quoted from post at 05:54:29 10/27/11) Great looking machine, doing a nice job. Good way to use the older machines. How does the 55 handle the 15' head?

Handles the head fine. When I was looking for a head wanted a 213 but they are impossible to find in my area. Found this head in Osage IA, it was the closest 215 at the time. I was worried about the weight but it hasn't been a problem.
It can take 6 rows but you really have to pay attention to your driving. To make it easier I just take 5.
Speed wise, run 3rd gear and 4-4.5 on the hydro, however fast that is, the radar hasn't work in a while. ha ha ha
