What can you tell me about this 95, its on an upcoming sale thinking of going after it.

It's old- late fifties or very early sixties- but looks to have been extremely well kept. Depending on where it's located, it's possible the farmer kept this one machine with the pickup for use in some low-acre specialty crops and used other machines for his big acreages. "Little Old Lady harvested her birdseed on Sundays" kinda story. Might be a real find. Or not.

It may also have some special equipment inside for special crops. Make sure it's not going to need refitting for your use.

Wow-That brings back many good memories. That is a very well kept combine. The ones I ran back in the 70's did not look that good. If you buy it you will be happy with it.

About time you checked in here. I was startin to think that gal was more important than combines. You gonna buy this or get "T" started buying combines along with tractors?

Tami actually was going to go halves on a tractor but someone broke into my back account and emptied it soooo until the bank finishes there deal and refunds me (they said 5 days) I have 3.48 to my name besides savings that I refuse to touch!

My big worry is current scrap prices and some dealer being there with deeper pockets! Gonna talk to dad and see if we can get it for wheat harvest! (Boy my mom is going to love to run that if none of us are around).

Looks pretty good, it's a 1959 model. The 58 and 59 models had the high grain tank. The 1958 model had the "95" sticker on a slant like the 20 series tractors, the 1959 model had the decals as this one, more in the style of the 30 series two cylinders. So it's a second year 95.

Starting in 1960 the grain tank was lowered and widened, hence the Hi-LO.

Hope you can figure out a way to buy it, looks like there is a lot of life in that one yet. Maybe your bank will give you an advance.

Boy, would I love to be combing barley on a still hot day with this. Itch. I think it's great to see a unit this nice. If you can swing it buy it. I passed on a 55 years ago that was absolutely pristine. $200 bucks. Not enough storage space and I would not let it sit out. A guy I know bought it and it now has a good home.

What can you tell me about this 95

Well only that it has a really, really, funky looking unloading auger sticking out the front of the combine. Optical illusions can be fun.

One question I have is has this machine been repainted. Looks mighty deep green to be original. It's possible, but would have had to have been stored in the shed every single day except when in the field, and also polished now and then.

The wheels do look repainted to me. I know of quite a few machines that have sat outside for long periods of time that still look very presentable. Most of the newer machinery on the sale was pictured indoors and there is an 8820 on the sale so maybe the 95 was the backup? I talked to dad about it going to find out if I can find a reel for it or if they still have it.

Buy it!! You may look for years to find another one like it. Reel should not be hard to find for it.I am sure you if you ask some of the fine fokes on here you will find one. Good Bidding and hope you get her. Bandit

A reel should not be too difficult to find, one from a 55 will work, and the sickle drive parts are the same as those on a 55. The drive wheels may have been repainted, but I don't believe the rest of the machine has been painted or even touched up. I spent a lot of time on 95's like this one, Grandpa had a '59 and Dad had a '58. If you get the machine and ever put a cornhead on it, change drive sprocket for the conveyor chain under the cylinder to a 10-tooth instead of the regular 15-tooth. It'll save you a lot of headaches. That being said, I think you'd go a long way to ever find a 95 of this vintage that's better than this one.

whatever dude i have a 12A twice its age with original paint & can still read the original decals, even the implement dealer's phone # which is HI 320.

Can we see pics of your 100 year old 12A

Boy, that picture brings back some memories. I bought a used '59 95 with 16' header in about 1967 or 1968, a one owner machine which had been traded for a new 95. Paid $4200 for it, which was a pile of money in those days. Used it for about 15 years. Was really trouble free. Thanks for the pic.
