Can someone help me out with the size of belt for my 2001 Craftsman LT1000? My belt is worn badly and there is no number that is readable. It seemed to be the wrong size to begin with. I just recently bought this mower so this is why I don't know what size the belt is. I'm sure the guy that I bought it from replaced it. Thank you for any info.

I posted a few posts earlier than yours looking for the wiring diagram, but held off replying to you because I thought you'd get a pretty quick answer. I bought a belt a few years ago at a farm supply near me that services all types of lawn/garden tractors and stocks replacement parts for Craftsman tractors. I didn't have info on the belt so I just took my LT1000 info in (they needed the model number and serial number) and they used that to identify the belt. I also bought a new pulley for it from the same place when Sears said they no longer carried the part. If you don't get an answer in a couple of days, I'll give them a call and try to track it down.
