42" Cub Blade on Cub 70

So I ended up trading that original blade for a spring tip blade. It's in decent shape and is mostly there other than the lift rod and the piece that fits to handle which I can make. I tired putting it on yesterday and it doesn't seem to fit. I had to really spread and beat the bracket onto the front of the tractor and when I did get it on it was hitting the axle not giving it any room rock back and forth and the tabs don't line up with the holes. Any ideas? I'm thinking I may have the wrong bracket.

Looks like you are missing some brackets.

If you supply an E-mail address, I will send you a Installation Manual.

So I knew after looking at the pictures you sent that I would have to fabricate the piece for the lift handle and 2 of the straight brackets. Not a big deal until right before I fell asleep last nigh. Remember that when I bought my 3 point hitch this past summer they sent an extra lift handle and this white piece that I had no idea what it was. It's the piece that bolts to the lift handle. Pulled it out of the attic today so now I just need to find a ubolt that fits (will probably just use a piece of flat.

Thanks again for all the help.

I got everything mounted up today. I made the extension brackets from a piece of flat and got the undercarriage mounted. The only thing I could find in town for the lift rod was a 6 ft piece of ready rod. It will do for now but I need to find a piece of solid. It''s just too brittle and I'm afraid it will break in the middle of pushing something.

Thanks again for all the help.
