42" Cub Blade

I bought a 42" IH cadet blade at an auction for $30 yesterday. I found the manual for it over at ihregistry.com. It says it's for an original but I have a 70. Will it still work my 70? I do know for sure it's missing the frame brackets so I need to find those or make them but there wasn't much difference was there? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

No expert here, but that doesn't look like any IH blade I've ever seen. Most have long arms to back of tractor on foot peg rod, and then a two pin hanger that locks into the front slots below grill. Also a long rod back to the lift handle.
That DOES look like a nice Homemade rig to me. I'll be watching here for replys. ONe other item, this thing has no Springs for when you hit solid crack or object. W/out those, could be a jolt coming. I have an IH blade with pivot and springs, no bracket for tractor and much different. There are "Narrow Frame" mounts and "Wide Frame" mounts also in the series.

I have a original cub cadet and newer cadets, the blades are different, with a little blacksmithing you could make it work, but I think you could find one that fits and it would work a lot better.

That is made for the original and was a factory piece. It is somewhat more of a collectors item because it didn"t have the springs to make the blade give which work better.
