John Deere 318 blowing fuses

Does anyone have any kind of wiring schematic for a 318 mine was running fine when all the sudden it stopped and is blowing a fuse as soon as you turn the switch on.

Sounds like you have a bare wire somewhere. Look at your wires closely, looking especially for a wire that is getting pinched. If this just started happening, I don't think a wiring diagram will help as much as a good inspection of wires. I'm no Deere expert but I had this happen on another tractor, and as it turned out, the previous owner ran one wire in the dumbest place. As a result, the wire kept getting mashed by the front end of the tractor and every time the two would touch it blew a fuse.

Yeh your right probably a bad wire touching somewhere. I really would like to know what this fude feeds atleast I would have a good starting point.

Mine had points and condenser so it needed the battery to run. The wire that was getting mashed was the one that ran the front electric PTO. The tractor would only die if I was mowing, but when it did, WHAM! Nothing. Wouldn't even hear a click when I tried to start it. It's just basically an in line master fuse to save you from destoying something more expensive. If yours only cuts out when mowing, I would look at the wire that feeds the PTO.
