I need to get a drive belt for this wheelhorse, but I dont have any idea what model it is. on the identification tag, the number reads:

91-14K801 04930
8199

Also, it looks similar to a C-100, but it has a 14 hp kohler engine. SO, if anyone knows what model this is, AND WHAT THE DRIVE BELT LENGTH IS, let me know! Thanks.

Go to www.toro.com, put model numbeber in. The 14hp Kohler is the correct engine. The 14K in the model designates 14hp Kohler engine. Do yourself a HUGE favor, look up the Toro part number and use it. If you put a standard belt, you will regret it.

91-14K801 is a 1979 C-series garden tractor, C-141 with an 8-speed transmission and 14hp kohler K321AS-30322D 14 wheel horse 103916! hope this helps greg in s.e. ohio

Okay, thanks very much for the info. However, on toro.com, they list three different drive belts for it, pn# 7473, 7478, and 106496. What one do I need? It is approximately 80" long.

Actually, I looked up all the belts, and im a bit confused.
Part# 106496 is 85" long
Part# 7478 is 84" long
Part# 7473 is 82" long.

all the belts are 5/8" wide. Which one should I use?

According to Toro, the belt you need is a 7478 Belt. Now, if you want it to work correct you need to either buy a Toro belt, or find a 5/8" X 84" raw edged belt. a wrapped belt, like most auto parts or lawn mower shops, that think "any belt will do" stock, will not work correctly in a clutching/declutching application like Wheel Horse uses on their gear drive tractors. But, your money, your time, your choice.

hello, im scott in amherst ohio.im pretty good mechanicaly but i dont really know much about the wheel horse so i thought maybe this site would help.the older man that lived across the road from me recently fell and injured himself to the point that he wont be returning home.he had 2 sons, ones an english teacher in tokyo and the other lives in denver co. area.well they both came home to start to get thier dads house ready for auction and to clean out all the junk .they rented a dumpster and were throwing all kinds of stuff in it.i walked over there to see if i could be of any help and to see if there was any metal for scrap.when i looked n the back door i saw an antique lawn tractor in there they were getting ready to throw stuff on top of.recognizing that it was still in excellent shape i asked if they would mind if i pulled it outta there.they said i was welcome to whatever i wanted.they said there was also a set of garden disks and a garden plow in there too.well i pushed it acroos the road to my house and i could see that it was an antique wheel horse and thier dad,(gibert)had really taken good care of it he just hadnt used it in a very long time,at least 20 years probably more.i started to look it over and i could see the gas line was rotted out and the tires had gine flat but gilbert had put it up on blocks so the tires stayed in good shape as they were off the ground and didnt dry rot.i looked at the oil and it was still good and clean.its got a shmacke recoil starter on it but the cable had broken down by the recoil.i took the recoil off cut te bad spot off the cable and put it back on.looked in the gas tank to see if it was rusty or dirty,it was not very clean inside.i poured just a little gas in it just to see if it was going to run and the damn thing started on the second pull.i coldnt believe it.its a single cylinder clinton engine about 3 or 4 horse i guess, but this thing runs sweet.ive since replaced what i think was the original autolite spark plug fuel line changed the oil with some synthetic, aired up the tires which are holding air ok.ive looked on another site and it looks like to me from the picture that i saw a 1955 give or take a year R-35. does this sound right?. if so is there a mower deck that will fit it,if so where would i get one.also dont know the value.its in great shape no dents in the hood anywhere or anything.little bit of suface rust but the old red pant still lookes pretty decent.any help would be much appreciated.thanks scott
