Kohler cv22s backfiring

If after 10 minutes or so, I should turn the engine off it will be almost impossible to get it started again. While starting up I will partially choke the engine and once it starts (if I am lucky) I will very slowly trottle up. If I should go to full trottle the engine will start to backfire through the exhaust. While the engine is running at almost full trottle and I engage the cutters, the engine will start backfiring. This backfiring has gotten so bad that I haven't used the riding lawn mower in months. Help

If eng has an oil pressure sw mounted on filter adapter or on block,disconnect wire to same & see if this cures your problem,sw could be bad,filter needs replacement or the more probable cause oil too light,you should be using #30 for summer use,10-30 usually only used below 32 deg
