I was mowing the yard with my Cub Cadet 129 the other day when it just quit. I thought I was out of gas but not so. Repeated efforts to restart failed.
So I have replaced the points, condenser, and coil. I checked the timing with a timing light and it is right on. It started up and runs well for about 2 min. then it gets very rough and quits. I took off the gas tank and cleaned it out and drained the float bowl and it still runs rough. I have not dissassembled the carb.
I have discovered that if I leave the choke almost full on the engine runs smoothly.
I hope someone can help me with this problem.
