Cub Cadet 126 Mower Deck Options

I have an IH Cub Cadet 126 with a rusted out mower deck. What are my options for using a wide frame 44a deck from a 109?

Any sage advice is much appreciated.

Bill VA:

The WF mower decks more than likely will NOT fit on a NF Cub Cadet. If it would fit (between the wheels), fabrication and modification would certainly be in order, to get it to mount.

The deck sizes available for the NF Cubs were:
* 38"
* 42"
* 48"

Ive had IH Cub Cadets for years and over time got away from tinkering with them, but now starting to revisit. My wife said I should have sold them
years ago - I said they are like good books on the shelf with chapters yet to be read. Im reading again...

One thing Im figuring out is it is just better to use the style deck that came on the tractor series.

One of these days I am going to measure up a NF 42" deck I have.
After you strip all of the parts off of it you are left with a hunk of sheet metal that was bent up in a break press.

They do not require a male/female stamping press die to be made like current multi blade decks.

A competent custom metal cabinet shop could easy turn them out.

You can swap some wf and nf decks but not all of them. The right deck hanger is the important part

My understanding was that at least some decks interchange but the deck hanger will not.
