Kubota diesel BX Series

My neighbor still has one. Hers is an early model. Had power steering cylinder troubles but the replacement was made different and that solved the problems. The hoses for it were also not that good had replacements made locally from real hose. Heavy built mower deck. All in all they are as good as or better than any other brands in that size.
 
Bought bx 23 in 2006 with a lot of attachments. Still got it . I cant say about running of other mfg. ,dont know , but if you look at the construction of the Kubota, how it is built its heavier duty. My opinion.
 
I bought this one in Jan. 22. Also have a 88 and 92 Kubota. Can't say anything bad about all 3 and all were bought used. On any small compact, make sure you keep the radiator blown out. I do mine after each mowing. Ton of attachments available for the BXs.

Depends on what you want to do with it. I bought a B2620 several years ago used. I had been looking and researching for years. At that time, the B and BX used the same engine and the weights were similar, but the B had a lot more ground clearance. If you plan to use it anywhere other than the yard, the BX might be an issue. There was something about a cooling fan on the hydro that was especially vulnerable, I think. I take my B into the woods to haul the saws and have even skidded a few small trees with it. Wheel extensions are a must, as is a good ballast box if you use a loader.
