JD headlights - replace with LED's?

Had to rewire the headlights on my JD 345 and though about replacing the 1156 bulbs with LEd's. Would it make much of a difference? The current bulbs look brite out of fixture, but don't seem to throw much light inside the lens.

Thanks,
Tim

Good evening, Tim: I thought I was clever, I put LEDs in the two outside lights on my JD 212, left the original bulb in the middle light. BIG improvement!! Later, I found out my son had done the same thing on his 216. I am also using LED truck clearance lights for tail lights on my 212, not trying to be street legal, but I just like the looks.

I use my JD X570 to snow blow my 1/4 mile driveway in the winter. By the time I get home and get things going it's dark out. Switched my headlights to LED around 3~4 years ago and the difference is impressive. Never going without LED's anymore.

Thanks everyone for the input. I installed the new bulbs, and after replacing the blown fuse, everything works. Still need to try them out after dark, but things sure looked brighter just in the shed.
