On my now running JD 212 I can't get the transmission or deck to do anything because the PTO sheave that's on the end of the crankshaft , pto side isn't turning at all let alone turning the belts . Belts for transmission and deck are tight , just not turning . There was something turning in the end of the sheave which I guessing was the end of the crankshaft . I know that the deck won't engage until I turn the lever on dash to manually engage it . When I move lever to engage deck still nothing .. My way of thinking from newer mowers is that the engine sheave should be turning with the engine and turning the drive belt . Deck belt dosen't turn until I engage pto for deck with the dash lever . Am I correct ? I'm guessing that there's is a key that is sheared in it somewhere . I assume that it has a key because all the other engine pulleys have keys as so do eletric pto clitch . Plus , there is a key in the diaghram ! I've never opereated a mower with this set up so any advice ? Am I doing something wrong to not make it engage ? Anything that I should know before I tear into it and take it apart ? Thanks for any and all help .
