Hello, Does a k241 crankshaft have a number on it that identifies it as a k241 crankshaft?I took my block and crankshaft to a shop to be bored and the crank ground, probably 5 years back.the guy died and the estate is now letting people get parts back.just hoping to get my original crank back. Any help appreciated. The engine is out of a Case 130. Thanks

Well, hopefully the guy wasn't one of those mental giants who never made any written notes and there is a tag on your crank and block with your name on it.

IIRC, one noticeable identifying factor would be an unusually short and small output shaft vs. many similar engines, as it drives the close-coupled hydraulic pump.

Below is a link to a Kohler crankshaft manual, but I don't think there's enough detailed info to help in your situation.

Take a look at ebay auction #154714125292, I THINK that's what you are looking for (the auction doesn't state the tractor model).

It will be interesting to see if someone comes along with better info!

If he ground your crank then you have your original crank. If your crank was bad then another may have been used. Not likely as there aren't that many old kohlers around anymore.
