I have a Gilson YT16E with 5 attachments
in search of a peerless 801 HD
transmission 5 forward 1 reverse belt
drive.
Any help would be much appreciated thanx.

South of Joplin, MO. is a place called Mike's Mower Repair. He has quit a selection of used merchandise. In the 80s, Ford badged The Gilson line. They were sort of the Bic lighter of mowers. Good Luck.

800 and 801 are grouped together in the Tecumseh technicians manual, so I am not certain if John Deere 111 in the mid 80s used that series. May not have be HD.
Murray used same trans during that time frame.
Manual said 4 different styles of outer axle bearing used.
I know for sure 2 different quality spider gears used as I shelled the teeth off the sintered metal ones in a JD111. For sure 2 different wheel hub to axle mounting too.
The manual did not say anything about HD that I saw. I assume Heavy duty if you have tillage equipment. Have fun.

I appreciate the info I think there are two older gilson models that have the same Transmission and after the yt16e series they released the lawnboy yt16 and the Ford yt16 both use the same peerless 801 HD Transmission 5 forward one reverse have 5 attachments for my yt16e runs mint but won't move without the transmission lol.
