Gravely 8000 Series

Any help here on my 8123 hydraulic pump specs and the PTO speed? Doing a PF Engineering front loader on this one. Thanks

I'm a geezer who has played with various Gravely tractors (both two and four wheel models) for about 25 years. I've never
seen any published specs on PTO speed or hydraulic pump specs for any models.

I have seen a mention of PTO speed of 900 rpm at maximum rated engine speed for two wheel tractors. Since the same
attachments could be used on both the two wheel and four wheel tractors, I would guess that this would also apply to four
wheel tractors. The unaddressed issue is that some of the later two wheel tractors have one HI/Low range that affects
only the ground speed and a second HI/Low range that affects both the ground speed and PTO speed. I haven't used a four
wheel Gravely tractor for several years and I don't remember whether the HI/Low range affected the PTO speeds.

The hydraulics pumps on the four wheel tractors were only used to raise and lower the mower decks, so I doubt that they
were very stout in terms of pressure and/or gpm. I vaguely recall that they could also be used to raise and lower front
mounted PTO attachments such as a snow blower, but some sort of auxiliary kit was required. This may have been required
because of the heavier weight of the front mounted attachment, or because of some leverage disadvantage in how the
attachment was mounted.

I found an old post on another site that discusses adding a loader to a Gravely four wheel tractor.

It suggests that the PTO rpm is 1200, the existing hydraulic lift pump is too small for a loader, and that the drive for the
existing lift pump is a small key which would not likely be strong enough for a larger pump.
