Need an air filter for this Craftsman tiller. No markings or numbers on engine or filter.

Any idea what it is?

I did find an air filter listed for an MTD. Still don't know who made the engine.

SURELY there must be a I.D. tag/model number on the tiller?

Armed with that info, go to www.searspartsdirect.com and enter the model number.

Once you have the Sears number for the filter GOOGLE will find you all sorts of places to buy on and pricing.

Your picture showed a 208cc decal on the engine. A search for Craftsman 208cc showed a Craftsman model
CMXGVAM1144037 rear tine tiller with a similar looking engine. A search on this model number showed a MTD model Model: 21D-65M8793. There is no indication of who made the engine, but the MTD air filter part number is 951-10794.

If you do a search on 951-10794 there seem to be many places selling a filter that looks like the one in your pictures. (your picture seems to show a filter element that is covered by a foam sleeve pre-filter. I have no idea whether the flat top shown in your picture is a separate piece, or part of the filter element. It seems to be part of the assembly offered by some vendors)/

I think Tom is on the right track. I just want to add: The engine ID number is on the crankcase just behind that plastic looking counterweight.
