Oil for Kohler 301K

Would 15-40 synthetic oil b ok for this engine.

I use 15W-40, non synthetic in my K series Kohler engines without a problem so you would be fine to use it

I have a K-321, 14 hp Kohler that I did a very extensive overhaul on years ago, I've used Rotella 5W-40 synthetic in it since the very first oil fill.
I have a 10 hp K241 Kohler that I've used 15W-40 Rotella in since early summer 1996 when I bought my F-250 Diesel. I use Rotella T4 15W-40 in both my FARMALL tractors, '51 M and '54 Super H. The T-4 is the replacement for the old 15W-40 Rotella.
