Kawasaki 23 Hp Valve Setting?

Yeah for 2 valves then role the engine 1 full turn and do the other two.

alternative method:
I usually watch the valve close and role the engine about half turn or so then adjust it. Each valve just needs to be off the lobe of the camshaft so you can set the gap.

Actually you don't roll the engine a full turn for the other cylinder. Both rods are on the same crank pin, so TDC for each cylinder is 90 degrees (1/4 turn) apart.

I usually take the spark plug out and look for the piston coming up the cylinder. An alternative is to take the blower cover off and turn the magnet on the flywheel to just past the ignition module.

I am thinking it .004 for both valves.

If your engine has a decompression feature it's important that you adjust them in the correct crank position, I would try to fine some good information online. I found this for our Kawasaki in our lawn tractor, not sure if your engine would be similar or not.
