K301 straight pipe

All, I have a K301 on a CC 124 that I'm building as a puller for my boys. I'm looking to install a straight pipe on it and noticed that it doesn't have the bolt holes drilled and tapped for the MidWest SC flange for straight pipe installation. Wondering if anyone else has come across this and how you addressed it. Should I just get a straight pipe nipple from Lowe's and go that route?

That may be your best alternative since you can't bolt a flange to the block. You will probably have to add a brace to support it if you plan on turning it upward, the pipe threads tend to loosen up when the engine gets hot.

I took the stock pipe and flange off . To much restrictions.
Bought a torque tube kit from Robertson .
Now if you do this I you must wear ear plugs. , decibels between 110 120 ,
