pivoting front axle technology

The mower I'm going to sell has a center pivot front deck and

suspension. The mower I'd like to buy doesn't in the size I can

afford. I would have to spend another 1500$ to get the model

that does. Wondering If I'll miss not having it? If it will still cut

ok on slightly contoured ground? tia...

It would be helpful for you to tell us what mower you are selling and what mower(s) you are looking at to buy.

We have a Husqvarna Lawn tractor with a pivoting front axle, it does a nicer job on our rough lawn than our newer JD Z-turn that's rigid! I
don't know why they don't pivot the front axle on the Z-turns, it wouldn't be that hard!

I'd forgo fretting about the pivoting when you are getting a flip deck. I have a 61 Ferris Z700s, a 52 DR ZT, and a couple of 46
normal riders. I don't miss the pivot on the non pivot fronts and the pivoting of the Ferris isn't that big of a deal on my clump grass,
hard clay soil. The independent suspension of the ones costing $10-12k might make a difference. Setting the gauge wheels just off
the ground and running lower air pressure in the tires will help to smooth out the ride and the cut.
