Jacobsen Commercial 60?

Hello,

I recently purchased some property which came with an old barn. I've been cleaning it out and have came across some interesting items. One of them is what I believe to be a Jacobsen Commercial 60, just from searching around the internet. There's 2 more of them just sitting outside with parts missing, which I assume he got for parts.
Its not by any means in great shape, but the P.O. says he was using it a few years ago before he moved. I don't have a need for it nor the room for it, but I hate to take it to the scrap yard if it can be used. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

That mower was originally built by Pennington and later bought out by Jacobson. Great machine. We had one that was our main mower when we had the sod farm Had a 24 hp Onan on it. Variable speed belt drive with rack and pinion steering. Big pan seat with bar spring ride. You filled the gas tank once a day. The deck was 60 inchs wide and could be set at 1/2- 7 inches high. Platform had enough room you could stand up and run it. Parts are knell to none. Good Luck.

Put them all in the classifieds here or on FB.

I think you will be surprised. As they say, ''One man's junk...''

I had one years ago- you rode plenty high in the seat and it was comfortable and fast to drive, but that rigid-mounted deck scalped my bumpy ''lawn'' pretty bad.

Thanks for the great info. The previous owner told me it was Pennington, but everything I found online pointed to Jacobson, so now it makes sense.
I'm thinking I will probably post it in the classifieds and see if I can get an offer.
Thanks again!

Hey Warbaby,
I'm new to this forum and can't seem to find a classified section here. Am I overlooking it or is it in a different location?
Thanks!

Not sure but I think you have to be running CLASSIC (Or Ancient) to find the sale sections. I never see them in Modern.
