Time to get maybe a ZT that may have some suspension. With my old J/D 48in. rider mower Im just beating myself up back wise. Any suggestions you might offer on a more comfortable mower? Cinder dirt terrain not a conventional yard to mow, 3 acres of Buffalo grass.

I have a buddy that is on his second one(bigger) he says to buy the upgrade seat. He told me the best part of the ride is his wife likes it so well, the he hasn't been on the new one at all.

Ferris or Simplicity. They have full suspension. I have a Toro Z Master 3000 with a very nice seat but still a little rough riding on rough ground.

How much do you have to mow?
I mow about 2 acres with my 8N and 5 foot finish mower, King Kutter.
I have a lot of back problems and cannot use a lawn tractor or any ZT mower.
I could buy a very nice 8N and new King cutter for less than a ZT would cost.
And the tractor could be used for other things also.
Plus, we have hills here and the lawn tractor and ZT won't stay on the hills without spinning or sliding.
I don't feel the bumps with the 8N tires.
Richard, who like you, is about to be 69 years young. LOL

Put a couple of old cushions (ones the wife doesn't care about) and sit on them and don't sit bolt upright like you are the king/master of all....lean forward a bit like you were driving a racer. LOL It Helps! Why don't they make tracked lawn mowers for a smoother ride? Like the Case and JD tractors, tracks for each wheel....sigh. Couldn't afford it anyway! Leo
