Cub Cadet HDS 2135

Look on the spindles. If they are greaseable, they will have a grease fitting. I am thinking the last MTD era Cub Cadet I saw that actually had greaseable spindles had the fittings on the side of the spindle housing, just above the deck shell.

i read one place wher it said units made after 1994 are sealed. my manual for the machine seems to say otherwise.

I have a 2130 and they are greasable on it. I can't remember for sure if the grease fittings are above or below but I think it's below. It's been a long time since I last had it apart but I think it has the tapered roller bearings similar to an old automobile front hub. The big old snappers used the same thing.

I have a similar 2010 model (LTX 1065 or some such) and the originals are sealed. The replacements take grease but the zerks are on the bottom so deck must be off to access them.
