I have a 1974 Montgomery Ward Gilson with a hydrostatic transmission. model GIL 33160C and serial 47x90906.

The pump is a Vickers T66Y 2A S711L535 which is mounted at the top of a long vertical differential. I cannot find any info on the differential except casting numbers 815006 and 815005. The differential has two oil level plugs but no fill plugs. The pump takes suction from this reservoir. There appears to be a second reservoir to oil the gears. Using red transmission oil. Does anyone know anything about this differential? Saw a picture that looks like it and was a Tecumseh. Thank you.

I discovered that the transmission is a Tecumseh, with a Vickers pump. The pump takes suction from the gear box. There is only one reservoir. Very unusual for a hydrostatic pump to share oil with a gear box. Oil is red ATF. Approximately three quarts.
