MNGB, it has a starter and the generator has been replaced with an alternator. I will get some more pictures next time I get it out. Do you have any ideas on a gas tank for the Wisconsin or lift assembly.

Thanks

Hi yes mine has s B&S 24431 engine its a replacement OEM would have been a Model 23 B&S, the 23 was 9 hp the 24xxx is 10 hp, your engine should be a Wisconsin AENL finding an OEM gas tank shouldn't be to hard as there are a lot of those engine still around
very good engines. Looks like you need the ratchet lift arch for sure and there is one on ebay now I see a couple of gas tanks on ebay but they think there gold plated for the price their wanting. After you post more pictures I can tell you more about the lift its pretty simple really but need pics of the tractor rear and RH side but all around will be good

I decided to remove the hood to check for marking on the engine. They must not have thought about working on the tractor. I didn't find any tag on the tractor. I had it running the day I brought it home but it would not start again. I looked in the gas tank and can see why!
Here are some pictures of the lift.

It uses a pipe and a chain to hold up anything on the lift. I am going to check on some of the other garden tractor forums to try to start locating parts.
Thanks

I am also looking for a wiring diagram. When I was taking the hood off I removed the the toggle switch for the ignition and one of the wires must have been just hanging on where ever it was supposed to be attached.

Thanks

Hi John it looks pretty good the hitch looks like it all there and pretty much original looks like what you need it the lift lever and arch, wiring is pretty simple since it has a magneto its a single wire from the mag to a switch and from the switch a wire to ground the starter used a push button switch like is there as for the alternator can't say looking at the pictures but looks to be a Delco and they are easy to wire if you want you can email me at gary.behrensatgmail.com remove the at as needed
