How to remove hydro pump from 620 T

The T drive (pump) in your grasshopper looks like the T6 drive I have worked on before. (I think the T6 is a bit larger)

First since you didn't say why you needed to remove it: If it just quit moving, you probably stripped the teeth in the black plastic coupling between the engine and the T pump.


Simplified:
1. Remove the drive links from the handles to the T pump. You may be able to get by just disconnecting them from the T-pump.
2.Remove the filter in the bottom of the T-pump and drain all the oil out of the t-pump.
3. remove all the hoses to the T pump. (The hoses may still have oil in them.)
4. The T mounts with a bracket at the front and two 1/2 bolts in the flange on the T pump at the rear.
(Grasshopper Tech. told me you don't have to remove that front bracket, just leave it on the pump, but I always had to do that on the T6 or it couldn't slide forward out of the pastic coupling.)
5. At this point (If I didn't miss any steps) the T should slide forward out of the plastic coupling and you should be able to lift it out of the tractor. (Well, at least Grasshopper refers to it as a 'tractor'.)

I would probably estimate about 3 or 3-1/2 hours doing this if it were in my shop, on my lift.

Grasshopper is very fond of using nuts on all their bolts, some of the nuts and bolts in that front bracket may be very difficult to get to.
