troy-built Junior Tiller question?

I have a troy-built Junior tiller that needs a seal on the tine shaft. The decal with the model # on the back of it says serial # and that is all you can read. it is completly gone. It has the 4 horse Tecumseh engine. Everywhere I look they want a serial # before you can order anything. Is the wheel axle seal and the tine axle seals the same? And where is a good place to get them? I have been looking and seem to have lost all info I had on this machine. Thanks Gene

I hope I copied that link correctly.
I have a Troy built Pony, not same as yours. Good luck, they are all made of good stuff.

You could always get the number off the seal or take the seal to NAPA. They can cross the number to an appropriate seal.

Ease the old one out, take it to a bearing supply, they can match it.

Be sure to get a double lip seal to keep the grit out. May as well replace all the seals while it's apart.

You can go to the site linked below and likely cross the number on the old seal (if there is one) or find a replacement seal by dimensions.

Once you have an SKF number you can get a seal though many auto parts stores, an industrial supply "bearings and drives"-type place if there's one nearby, or find one on the 'net.
