Having problems with a Simplicity 6216 not going as it should due to belts and the variator pulley and clutch. Anyone have any tips on how to fix this? I've had the tractor into a local shop where they
installed new belts, pulleys and a spring that was missing. I had to take it back to them as it wasn't running right, very slow drive speed. I've picked it up again after they said it was done, and it's still
not right with belts slipping and no speed. I intend to use this tractor as a utility vehicle, pulling a small manure spreader, pulling a small trailer and snowplowing.
 
Ten chances to one that they installed a new wrong belt
probably an inch short, especially if the installer used the old
worn or stretched belt as a measurement.
