Time delay module on 425 garden tractor

The parts man at the John Deere dealership told me the intermitted loss of spark on one cylinder was most likely the Time Delay Module. Where do I find the time delay module on my 1997 425 ? Thanks for any advise you can give.

There have been some changes over the serial numbers, the original version was a black plastic cylinder near the starter with components encapsulated inside of it and 4 or 5 wires coming out.

The updated replacement #AM128906 MAY be different in appearance, IIRC.

Hi, I tend to disagree with your parts man on the time delay module being a cause for intermittent spark on one cylinder. If it is losing spark on only one cylinder than it is much more likely to be A: the ignition module that mounts down near the starter, B: the ignition coil, C: a loose connection, or D: the pulse coil. Good luck.
