Does anyone know of a shaft to shaft centrifugal clutch? 10 to 12 hp horizontal.

Not sure I have seen one but could you just use a same sized sprocket as the clutch on your driven shaft and a piece of double roller chain to connect them? just thinking out loud

THat would not be a problem with my design. I am not familiar with chain speeds. But on second thought, the mini bike I had as a kid ran 36000rpm on a single chain. Another product to build,at least in my head :)

The double roller chain he is talking about is a lot like what they used on some of the MH tractor to connect the engine to the transmission. Simply a couple of sprocket side by side and a double chain that coupled the 2 sprockets together

This can couple two shafts end to end. Similar to a lovejoy shaft coupling but can withstand more horsepower.

If this is what old is describing.

If you used the clutch like used on the old mini bikes and couple the sprocket to sprocket it would do just that so when the RPM came up the clutch would do its job simple as that

I think what yall are trying to describe is a centrifical clutch connecting a shaft to a sprocket and then a chain connecting the sprocket to another sprocket. Maybe.
