need carb for JD C100G with Briggs 8 hp

I have a old JD 100 and everything is good but water got down in the carb thru the broken rubber intake tube as so I think its pretty bad but soaking in a carb cleaner but from my experience its going to be trouble ..to rebuild ..Im looking for a good carb . I have bought from Jacks Small Engines before but he's a little pricy . anyone know where to find a good used one or a new one thats not real pricy?

Under $30 on ebay for a new import/clone carburetor.

I've used several on various engines with pretty good success, others have not been as satisfied.

Go to ebay and search for "Briggs & Stratton 190707 carburetor". (190707 is the engine model.)

(That carb is $155 at DEERE, part #LG491590.)

Thanks for the info ..here is a pic of my flywheel cover . Im not sure but my number is not the same as what you wrote?

This would be the carburetor you need if you want a cheap aftermarket. Briggs part# 491590 if you do a Google search.

Thanks for the info. I just realized the rubber tube that attaches to the carb , its about an 1 1/2" long and bent it was rotten .I think it is the one that I think it sucks the crankcase fumes ? any ways I was wondering if you have an idea about that part?
