Sears Suburban oil

I have an old Sears Suburban 725 with a model 19 Briggs engine. The manual calls for 30wt oil. Is there a more modern oil that I could use in this engine?

ALL of my older equipment gets 15W-40 diesel oil.

30wt oil is readly available and its as modern as it gets, but 10W-30 can be used or as post 15W-40

Briggs still sells 30 wt oil labeled Briggs on the bottle. I purchase 30 wt by the 5 gallon pail for my old Briggs engines that the manual calls for 30 wt above 32F I think.

Both new and old air cooled get 15w40,old liquid cooled get's it. New engines get EXACTLY what mfgr reccomends. No snake oil or mechanic in a bottle in anything.
