I'm looking for a belt drive starter pulley to fit a 243431 cast iron Briggs with Delco belt drive starter. I went and welded a pulley to the rope start cup on the engine, but I'm not a real fan of it only supported by 2 5/16" bolts. Kind of afraid the rope cup will crack and come apart in the worst possible time.. Thanks , Roy

Bad news, I had an aluminum pully that I have had hanging on a nail for over twenty years, about 7-8 inches across and a half inch belt groove, pretty sure it was off a Briggs engine. I went out to take a pict. of it and can't find it.
Think it was a casualty in my over due shop clean up a couple months ago.

Ive been going through dads old Briggs and Snapper inventory. I have not found any pullies like that yet.
Every ten years dad would go through his used B&S parts and toss what he considered too old. In 1990 Briggs went crazy and didn't use any part for more than six months. There was no point in saving any used part as you would never find another mower it would fit. Dad ordered three Snapper 33" RER with 12.5 briggs engines. All three had a different carbs and air filters. One even had an oil filter.

I have that parts print too.. But, alas Can't seem to find the actual used part. I will not pay what Briggs wants for a new one. I used the generator yesterday as high winds knocked down some power lines on the road behind me.. The old Homelite worked ok but Gawd did it ever use the gas. I missed the boat on a military MEP-2 diesel generator that would run 24 hours on the amount of fuel I put into my gennie running only a couple of hours. Now Gov.Liquidation can't come up with anymore due to another entity buying the whole lot and overpricing the same unit. I used to buy a lot from Gov.Liquidation. Great deals , but not anymore..
