I didint no if I should put this hear or in tractor lulling so I put it hear.

I have a few questions about my 12 hp kholer then engine got a Stock rebuild 1 year ago and Im looking to get more power with out building the engine.

1 will a carb spacer giver more power
2 can I get more rpms with out tearing apart the engine and leaving the govner installed
3 how can I get more go without rebuilding the motor

don't think a carb spacer would change anything. More rpm's is probably a terrible idea, you could get lots more power if you put a turbocharger or supercharger on it.
 
First thing would be to get a tachometer and figure out if you are getting the full 3600 RPM's you should have.
Carb spacer requires a lot more RPM's to do much good and the standard cast flywheel won't take much more than 4000.
You can adjust the RPM's with the governor/throttle linkage.

You can get more power by doing what's called porting and relieving a flat head motor.

Be warned do not over rev a Kohler , the flywheel will explode. The casting is made of a low grade cast , ok 👌
3600 rpm ,that’s it ,period .
