Got the attachments for the Case 155 tractor,
to my chagrin, the deck was a mess, broken, missing pieces, the plow looks minty, and the snow Caster did not look " Case " We later
found the plaque " SEARS Model # 842.240510
Ser # 483659 . Am wondering what models Sears tractor this might fity, the unit looks to be in excellent condition, but highly doubt it could " ever " be used on the Case. Photo added, thanks.
 
For many years Haban made the blowers and other attachments for majority of L&G tractors of many brands.In "general"the front blower units themselves were"universal".HOWEVER what made them "brand/model specific" was 1:The mounting frame provided to fit the specific tractor,and 2:The drive unit that adapted the tractor's PTO to run the blower at proper speed/power and orientation.Sadly,though the world is littered with used tractor blowers,majority seem to be missing the drive adapters.As to your Sears,being labeled "Sears",it would have been set up to fit certain Sears tractors and would prolly also fit tractors of similar vintage built by whichever Mfg built the Sears tractors of that line at that time.Could be any of 1/2 doz different Mfgs depending on age.Only thing I can think of would be if Sears Parts trchnical line could advise you of any info as to dating it and fitment.
 
That all being said :),a quick Google of your model no. and a little reading found that your blower is appx 15yrs old and at that time fit Sears 917.257572,15hp/42" tractor(and others I would suspect).917 is the Sears code for AYP built tractors which is still Sears main supplier.Both the tractor and blower diagrams are still online at SearsParts..and depending on mounting point changes may fit Sears,Husqvarna,Poulan,Weedeater tractors having adequate strength/power to handle it...HaveaGoodUn'

I realize it's been a while since you posted the manual for the 842.240510 but I was hoping that you still had it available. Actually, the one that I just picked up (like new and fits my 1995 Craftsman 18 hp) is a 842.240530. I was hoping that they were similar. Mine is a single stage and is very similar to the one I bought for the 1995 except for the belt drive mechanism. Therein lies the rub as I need to change the auger belt and, based on what I see, I need to pull the engine driven pulley and the auger pulley. A manual would really help me figure the proper way to get the belt done.
