Picked up a garden tractor. An Oliver 220 is what it says.
Serial # tag says Bolens.

Does anyone know if Bolens made these for Oliver or did someone just paint this thing the way they wanted it?

Do I have something special here worth a lot of money? lol

(quoted from post at 22:21:32 07/26/20) It could be a Bolens painted like an
Oliver. I believe Oliver lawn equipment was
actually made by Jacobsen.

It's a Bolens 800 from what I can gather. I would just like to know if Bolens made them for Oliver or if someone just painted it that way.

The only Bolens rebranded equipment I know
of is one year they produced equipment for
Montgomery Ward. 1962 I believe. That
tractor has just been painted how somebody
wanted it. Looks like a straight machine,
but would be worth more in its proper
Bolens colors.

Jacobsen made all of the Oliver Lawn & Garden Tractors. They made a 75, 105, 125 in both gear and hydro and a 145.

I found this tag on it. I was going to paint it back in the original Bolens colors but someone locally wants it I think. Gonna hold on for now. I need to work on it as it only wants to run full revs. Can't get it to adjust with the throttle. But it starts pretty easy.

Jacobsen nor Oliver made a 220 tractor.

Bolens made a 220 in 1958. But it looks nothing like that.

As you know by now. You have a Bolens 800. And it appears to be a Husky produced between 1963 - 1965 or 66.
