Mowed with the model w Simplicity

Well guys, after some fancy fabricating, I got my old repowered Simplicity W adapted to an Ariens 30" mower deck. Had to do some belt twisting and shieve calculating to make mower run at needed speed. I kind of like mowing with the old walk behind for a change. No, I won't get rid of the Kubota zero turn.

I like the way you went with the repower. I am thinking if yours had the Model 9 engine like mine, the 8 hp. was about the same size. I don't know what my model number is, though.

I also did a repower on my Model V walk behind .. 8 horse Briggs, I did a lot of revamping of the driveline and cosmetics of the tractor.. Photo can be seen in the "Tractor Photos " section way above under "1953 Simplicity" , about the 4th page in.. I never realized the tractor wouldn't steer with a dump cart in tow.. I ended up putting a Peerless differential in it.. I had to make the axle end hubs to accommodate the 8 lug aluminum wheels and mud truck tires I had installed.. Since there are no tractor shows this year , I exercise the old girl on the streets in my neighborhood.. I added disc brakes to the dump trailer, stop lights, tail lights, headlights, motor bike horn, electric start and of course, a cup holder..

Well I have a
Model W also
, and it has the old cast iron
Model 19 Briggs about 71/4 hp
I do have the rotary mower deck the round
one . If I could find some front casters that swivel
I might use it then .

The casters on my Ariens deck came off a Yazoo walk behind self propelled mower. Maybe 28" don't remember
