JD 318 3pt arms range of motion

I seem to have 4" difference (total travel) low to high at the lower arm balls.
I adjusted the mower deck adjust to give me the most travel.
I don't have the mower deck mounted.
It is dark in there hard to see.
Is 4 inches it or am I missing something?

Get a flashlight and look at the rock shaft cylinder there is a slot were the pin for the rock shaft cylinder travels in. If adjusted correctly the lower arms of the three point should almost touch the ground when lowered maybe gap of 2” between the ground. At full lift height you should have around 16” from ground to the center of your swivels on the lower arms.
