JD X590. New, but the deck creeps down

Bought new 590 in April. Love it. Power steering, tilt, hydraulic deck lift, mulch control, traction control, brush guard. All is fine, except I began hearing it click as it sat in the garage. The deck creeps down after about a day.
Anybody else have this issue? Or have you noticed? Under warranty— guess I need to contact dealer. Just thought I would run it by YT first.

Know anyone else who has one to ask if it's doing the same thing, I've never been around one of those but every 140, 318, etc. I've ever been around leaks down within a day or two.

Probably not a bad idea to lower the deck when parking it to prevent any little "helpers" from lowering it on their feet!

Thx for reply. I said something to my dealer. . They did an experiment: they had one in showroom. It did the same thing!! They are scratching their heads!,🤔
Factory Rep. coming next week. They are to inform of problem. Suspicion defective valve, maybe in all of them. No leaks on floor.
Standby...........

I've had a lot of hyd lift decks over the last 50 years. They all do it, UNLESS you use the cutting height adjustment knob to set the height. My older 455 had much the same setup, lift the deck, set the cut height and lower the deck to that stop. That will hold it indefinitely.

hydraulic cylinders and valves can't be relied on to hold long term.

My X534 does that and I assumed it was normal! I always have to lift to the top (about a 4 inch cut I think) just to clear the door sill when storing or unstoring the machine. Then when ready to mow, just push the control downward and it is at the indicated cut height. Been doing it that way for several years.

What annoys me with this power steering is it has no "registration", meaning the rotated position of the steering wheel slowly drifts as I use it, but something I got used to. Leo

I noticed the steering wheel drift too. Glad you pointed that
out. Sometimes the John Deere stamped on the wheel is
upside down. 🤔🤔🤪
