Any information regarding this garden tractor would be greatly appreciated. Info about quality, durability, abilities, etc. Any or all info appreciated. Thanks

It's a little Japanese TRACTOR and built accordingly (NOT even fair to call it a "garden tractor", it was built to WORK!.) The hydro and rear end is SUPER HD. Power steering is good. The one I have had quite a few HARD hours out on it mowing public parks before I got it, the Shibaura engine still starts good and runs STRONG. It has a two-speed rear end after the hydro.

As I replied to your other post, the availability of at least SOME parts may not be good, but I haven't needed many other parts besides the unobtainable center mower spindle.

The rear axle seals leaked when I got it, the PO had previously had the seals replaced at the dealership. He said it had leaked more or less from new. I ordered new seals from NH, and was not satisfied with their construction, or how they fit.

After some research, I found some metric seals for a John Deere combine header gearbox that were MUCH more HD and used them. NO more leaks. Should that ever be a problem, I would share the seal # with you.

I'll post some pictures of the little blue thing with the yellow DEERE tiller if I can find them.

One thing I am NOT fond of is the foot-operated hydro control pedal, but that seems to be the norm on many other little tractors nowadays. The one on mine was really sticky, and I completely disassembled, cleaned, and lubed parts of the linkage beneath the frame, and I am still not satisfied with how it works, I will get back to it some day and see if more cleaning and lubing will help.

UH Bib, I think you are getting a bit over enthusiastic about your tractor.

I did some searching for specs, etc., and it's really just a good well built Garden Tractor similar to the ones built in the late 60's to 80s.

Granted, compared to the RIDING LAWN MOWERS being marketed to day that LOOK like tractors it is a beast, but then so were the likes of the Bolens, Cub Cadet, John Deere, and other garden tractors from the 60s-80s

Looking at the specs I see that it has the 23" rear tires. Based on that I'm going to guess that it's a medium sized GT and weighs in at @6-700 lbs.

The large GTs like the Bolens 1886, and others used 26" tires and weighed in at 1000 Lbs. +.

It is a very capable GT, and the diesel is definitely a plus.

The down side is that attachments and parts could be an issue.

Thanks to those that posted. Further comments are welcome. I have always been happy with my Ford diesels in the past, but have no knowledge of this particular unit. Just wondering if I should invest or not. Any or all comments are welcome. Thanks.

Buzzy, it's heavier than you think... looks like 878 pounds w/o a mower deck.

And the mower deck is pretty darned heavy!

They are heavier than that. I weighed mine with bare tractor and a full tank of fuel, at 1185 lbs.
