John Deere 318 Repair Manual

I have a very good running 1991 John Deere 318 that I love using for mowing. I have found another as a backup. It needs some work. I really need a repair manual. I see some older 1980's original manuals and several kinds of reprints. What success have any of you had with reprints. Which are the good ones ? I really don't want to go with a disc on my computer if I can avoid it.

I'd buy an original manual of off ebay.

I know there are several serial number breaks, but I'm not sure if one OEM manual covers them all, or not, check to be sure.

Another option is to call DEERE Techpubs at 1-800-522-7448 and get a fresh, new manual. Will be costly, but good thing to have if you have several of these tractors. (I have 3 plus a 322.)
 
I have the JD manual for one of my mowers,it goes into more detail than I have ever seen before in any books, Buy the JD book.
 
I have a Component Technical Manual for the 16, 18 20 and 24hp Onan engines from Jan 1987 that goes into technical details on engine repair (JD Part number CTM2)
Also there is a Technical Manual for the 316, 318 and 420; it was printed May 95 (JD Part number TM1590)

Get me the engine model and spec number. I should have a copy of the engine. I can send you. If you don't find one.

That engine was made in Feb 1992 spec code C. The P218G was in the last model of that engine made. I should have the manual. I will take a look today
