Ingersoll/Case H54 Blade

Assuming that you have a genuine H54 Case blade, you should know the following.

This is the FIRST Case blade designed for the Snap-Fast system introduced in 1972.

The lift arm goes over top of the front axle whereas the newer versions have the lift arm going UNDER the front axle. On some tractor models, this can be a problem.

Blades often get badly abused so......the price is based heavily on the condition.

Is it complete? Is it straight? Does it have a decent cutting edge? Are the skiis still there? Are they worn out? Ia the blade badly rusted?

Ruaty blades are useless in snow because the snow will not flow over the surface.

A few years back, a nice straight blade that was fully painted could bring as much as $500.00.

A blade that needed a lot of work might be worth only 10% of that figure.

Ok, Very good information Tom. I was looking at a 4018, came with the blade. I was considering value of tractor with 60" deck and the blade.(only 5 mi, from me). PO got 3K for it, I dragged my feet too many days. lol
