Any information on why a driveshaft would bust on this 935 mower could it be something with the hydrostat drive ?

Could be. But the last 935 I worked on was over 20 years old too. And its probably been 8 or 10 years since then.

yes got me wondering what might of happened I got it pretty cheap. The spleen drive on the transaxle spins both ways so got me stumped lol.

Sorry I'm late to the game. What drive shaft broke? My 1145 has 2 drive shafts. One to the front implement and one
to the rear axle. I will drive with either removed.

its the one that drives the hydrostat I replaced it but now it vibrates my motor real bad and when I try to go forward or reverse it kills it,so im thinking my hydroatat has a problem.

I think the brakes are lockup so that would explain your stalling, the vibration might be caused by the shaft not being in time. The
crosses must be in line, or it will shake the flab of of your behind.
