Hello Again,
After several days I discovered that the governor set-up on my 303777 series 16hp Vanguard V-Twin is an old style utilizing a spool attached to the camshaft. I still have not opened the engine but wanted to know if anyone out there has knowledge of this old style and how to best approach the repair, I have only seen tutorials on the replacement of the newer governor gear/oil slinger style. Could the spool indeed be the culprit of my screaming engine or simply a different way needed to adjust the governor of the spool style. I don't want to take it down unless necessary. So much obliged for putting up with me, thank you.
