Any one got a flywheel with ring gear and a starter for an H-80 or H-100 flat head Tecumseh that they want to get
rid of. If you do I need them. E-mail me and we will talk.

Just a hint. If I am not mistaken that is a 6 or 8hp engine? Many - many Troy Horse tillers have that setup as an option. Many of those engines got blown up due to low oil levels. Neglect of checking the oil level. If you can find a junker or even buy a junked tiller, there are your parts. Just a point in the direction.

The H-100 denotes a 10 hp, and the H-80 denotes an 8 hp. In those years the Tecumseh model number was H for horizontal shaft and the number 100 was for 10 hp. Even the smaller ones were that way. The H-50 was a 5 hp and H-60 was 6 hp. Some had a HH designation for a heavier series engines.

I did a conversion for a friend on a generator several years ago and use a V-80 setup on his H-10 generator engine. Gene Davis

Ok. I got all of the parts off a blown Troy horse engine that had everything on it for electric start. The replacement 8hp Tecumseh industrial engine I bought brand new had everything except the starter. I swapped all of the parts around and for the past 20 years she has worked dandy. It is amazing what you can do with a little knowledge. :) Only thing I had to add was a brand new start solenoid. One of those electric scooter batteries work really well.
