sers garden tractor

I have gotten a sears tractor with a Tecumseh engine on it. Model 143.569042. It also has the numbers 5236 12109 stamped on the plate as well. I think it is a hh10 or hh100 model engine. I am trying to find the part number for the points, condenser and coil. If anyone can help with that I would be grateful as Tecumseh parts lookup is very vague.
Thanks

Your eng used either a magneto or 12v ign system, you didn't say which you had.

For a magneto & 12v system points are pn 32011A,point push pin(plunger) is pn 31952
For a magneto condenser is pn 32015,coil core ONLY(less mounting bracket/misc small parts for same)is pn 32014

For 12v ign system condenser is pn 32079,coil is pn 32080

For 12v coil you're better off price wise going to ebay or napa and getting a kohler or aftermarket 12v coil with an INTERNAL RESISTOR.

You can download the engine manual from the Tecumseh website
for free. Look under classic engines. It will have the
information you need.

had a few of these 1964-1968. tecumseh had dead gasket issues, check for flatness and i usually converted to studs rather than bolts. i know of a running suburban 1964-65 variable speed 42" with 8hp tecumseh near grand rapids mi.

I was not aware of the two styles of ignition on the engine. Thank you very much. That was very helpful. My engine runs good till it gets hot and then it looses spark.
