Hi, I have a lawnboy side discharge 2 cycle mower. I wore out one bag, then got another I patched it up over the years. The bags are still available but very pricey. The mower is about 35 yrs old. I bought it new. Ive had quite a few LBs, they don't quit just wear out.

I am a Lawn Boy fan but I don't ever use the bag. It is my trim mower. I bought it new in 1985, last year before the blade brakes became mandatory. I have replaced the primer bulb, air filters, plugs, blades....that's it. Use only Lawn Boy oil.

I have 19 running running two stroke Lawnboys and 4 Tecumseh 6.75hp four strokes. I grab every self propelled LB that I can get my hands on. My favorite go to is an old F engine, Gold Series 3 speed. They are hard to beat as far as the quality of the cut.

I have many of mine outfitted with steel ball bearing wheel. The hardest part is finding steel drive wheels. So I grab all of those I can find for they often outlast the mower. New ones are often hard to find and expensive. But well worth the investment.

Myself. I would spend a thousand dollars keeping an old Lawnboy going before I spent a dime buying anything new brand mower they have to offer now days.

I gave away my 1973 Lawn Boy as it needed work..gave it to the local Fireman's Auction. Two good bags, 4 cans of LB oil and the 1 gallon gas can. I now mow 5 acres. That old mower took several coils over the years and it was so light weight to push.
