Does anyone have pros ,cons on the Cub Cadet zero turn? I noticed at HDepot they have a zti 50 inch
with Kawasaki motor for 3099 . I Looked at many reviews, but a lot of them seem to be factory
oriented. If you know good or bad please let me hear it.

Thanks in advance

Bought a brand new Cub Cadet TANK LZ April of 2016. Has 152 hours on it now, mowed my 2-1/2 acre yard over 51 times. Done 4 oil changes, replaced the outer stage filter of the 2-stage air filter on the 27 hp Kawasaki engine. 54 inch 3 blade fabricated deck. Have not had to adjust or replace a single thing on the mower. Just the oil/filter changes and add gas. Burns about 3 gallons mowing my yard once, holds 15 gallons, twin 7-1/2 gallon tanks. The mower blows clippings two mower swaths away from the discharge chute. Has a spring suspended seat, adjustable for operator weight, arm rests ROPS. I used a 20 hp Cub Cadet Super Garden Tractor, 982 with 50 inch deck. Took 4 hours to mow with it. First mowing with the Tank took just shy of 2-1/2 hours. I've changed some things, pruned some trees and have mowed in 2 hours a couple times. I NEVER run short of HP.
My zero turn is a COMMERCIAL machine, cost more than $3000, a LOT more. I could have got a 60 inch deck but there's too many places the 54" won't fit and that wastes time. But I wouldn't want a narrower mower. Most of the time savings is from the instant turns, no more 3 point turns cranking on a steering wheel. Much much less tired when I'm done mowing. I use it to pull my 3000# capacity tandem axle dump cart, a Pronovost P503. Can't dump it, need the 982 for that, no hydraulics on the Tank.
My 2-1/2 acres has close to 100 trees and bushes on it, had around 120-125 couple years ago. With some pruning and trimming I think I can get down around 1-1/2 hour mowing time. My mower has up to 12 mph forward speed, and in many conditions I know it would do a nice job mowing that fast.
I'm pretty sure Cub Cadet doesn't make the Tank anymore, but the PRO Z was the other commercial rated mower I looked at. Salesman, son of the dealership owner says he got His wife the same mower I have and she's mowed for several years with it. I'm perfectly happy with my mower.

Cannot give you the good or bad but can say this about them. They are no made by IH/Case there made by MTD

They are consumer grade mowers.

Nothing bad about them, they will last many years used by the homeowner, more if properly maintained, less if not.

But they are not commercial mowers, not intended for daily use by hired help. Those are a lot more money, not found at HD or Lowes.

Like others have said, they're not a commercial machine, but would probably last you many years. We bought a JD zero turn at HD 3 years ago and it's been great, going to last us forever!

I wish you were close I have 3 ferris ztr full suspension unit left try to close out dealership. one you looking at nothing wrong with them. like I have said before most all of the are same stuff under the paint and bodies anyway, different classes me heavier units or higher to buy. what used to be commercial few years back now home owner line, average person they are fine. some people just do not belong on anything mechanical. just make sure it at least has springs under seat platform

I clicked your profile and was surprised you don't have more information in it. Have you considered at least adding your location or other info?
