Kawasaki fuel pump

Today I checked the oil in our Husqvarna lawn tractor with a Kawasaki V-twin, and it was over full. Is it posible for the fuel
pump to leak gas into the crankcase when sitting? The gas tank is under the seat, but I did have it pretty full so maybe it
just drained through the carb. Any ideas?

yes I have seen it leak thru both, vacumn pumps usually not very its carb but have seen it lots on the mechanical pumps a lot. still trying to get shop closed out.

Although it is possible for the fuel to leak through a hole in the fuel pump diaphragm, it is much more likely that the fuel leaked past the needle in the carburetor and filled the engine.

I checked the oil the next day and it seemed OK, I had forgotten that on a Kawasaki you don't screw the dipstick in when checking oil.
